About the event

Birth Physiology

July 30 | 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM

If you truly understand birth physiology, you'll understand why labor unfolds the way it does.

Too often, doulas are taught what labor looks like without fully understanding the biological processes driving it.

This workshop takes a deeper dive into the science of labor, helping you connect what you're seeing in the birth room to what's happening inside the body.

We'll explore the intricate hormonal dance that powers labor, the factors that support physiologic birth and the reasons labor sometimes slows, stalls, or changes direction.
